For five generations, the Underberg herb speciality has been cultivated in Rheinberg using the secret Semper Idem® process.
In 1846, company founder Hubert Underberg carefully selected herbs from 43 countries and developed a process that guaranteed the gentle extraction of the active ingredients from these exquisite and aromatic herbs – Underberg was born.
Underberg has always stood for pure and multifaceted herbal enjoyment and contains only water, alcohol and herbal extracts. No other ingredients are added, especially no additives.
Two things are unmistakable about Underberg: the unique taste experience and the typical single-serving bottle wrapped in straw paper – always just the right amount, handy and practical.
In 2021, Underberg will celebrated its 175th anniversary – kicking off with a new trendy “Pop Art meets Tradition” world that combines tradition and modernity.

Underberg Herbtini
Underberg Espresso Herbtini is the new herbal liqueur with espresso from Underberg, the after-dinner fusion drink! As a modern reinterpretation of the legendary Espresso Martini cocktail, it combines Underberg Original with espresso, vodka and a dash of vanilla, in the typical Underberg portion bottle (0.02 litre).
With only 27% vol. pleasantly mild.
Cocktail ideas
Underberg Sour
- 2 cl Underberg
- 3 cl fresh lemon juice
- 2 cl fresh orange juice
- 1 cl sugar syrup
- orange cest
Mix all the ingredients in a shaker with ice cubes and strain into a tumbler glass on ice. Garnish with orange zest.
