Monkey Shoulder
The name is a nod to tradition: In the old days, distillery workers turned tonnes of germinating barley with shovels and by hand, hour after hour. This hard work sometimes made their shoulders ache and their arms hang low, almost like a chimpanzee. This temporary discomfort was known as “monkey shoulder” and in tribute to the hard work, this Scotch was named after it.
Monkey Shoulder was developed with the aim of breaking the conventions of whisky drinking. Not surprisingly, this scotch offers remarkable mixability for a wide range of whisky drinks.
