Richard Seale is the fourth generation CEO and Master Distiller of Foursquare Distillery and a renowned rum expert. Seale’s family history with rum begins in 1926 when Richard Seale’s great-grandfather, Reginald Leon Seale, founded R.L. Seale and Company in Barbados. Over the years, the family business acquired various rum brands and eventually established its own distillery, “Foursquare”.
Foursquare was named Rum Producer of the Year at the ISC 2021 for the sixth time in a row. Richard Seale himself also received a special honour. He was honoured with the Recognition Award as Master Blender. Richard Seale is therefore not only the great-grandson of the founder, but also one of the most innovative distillers and blenders. He is an advocate of unadulterated rum and a leading figure in the rum industry.

The rum is part of the “Exceptional Cask Selection”, behind which Master Distiller Richard Seale stands. The blend of 2 three-year-old pot still and column still distillates matured for 11 years in ex-sherry casks.
R.L. Seale’s 10 YO
Matured for 10 years in small oak barrels to develop its full potential. A complex aroma on the nose convinces with flavours of nuts and delicate roasted aromas with a buttery, vanilla finish.
