Hatozaki
The Yonezawa family moved to Akashi City in 1856. After mastering the art of brewing sake, the family began distilling in 1917. A century later, Kimio Yonezawa, the master blender and distiller of the house, honours his heritage and the 100th anniversary of the family business by creating the Kaikyo Distillery and Hatozaki Whiskies. All Hatozaki whiskies are the result of a double blending process.
Hatozaki Blended
Hatozaki Blended Whisky is an assemblage of whiskies of the highest quality that have been matured in casks for up to 12 years. The lightness of the whisky is due to the dominance of malt. Grain notes, floral nuances and a slight sweetness make it possible to enjoy the whisky both neat and as a cocktail.
Hatozaki Pure Malt
Hatozaki Pure Malt Whisky is a bottling of 100% malt whiskies matured in imported bourbon casks, imported sherry casks and indigenous Mizunara oak casks. Tasting notes: Hatozaki Pure Malt has a rich profile of sweet grain and malty, dried fruits with a slight hint of smoke and honey on the finish
