Caisteal Chamuis
Caisteal Chamuis whisky was named after the mystical medieval ruin of Caisteal Chamuis (pronounced Castle Camus), which lies on the headland of the eastern flank of Knock Bay on the Isle of Skye. Caisteal Chamuis could be described as a reflection of the rugged history of the Scottish Hebrides, a time of brave warriors and peat fires in the mist. The once strategic fortress helped the Macleod clan to secure their influence in the region. The ruins of the castle that we see today bear witness to its powerful and authentic history.
