Bols
BOLS is one of the largest and oldest producers of spirits and liqueurs in the world. The origins of BOLS liqueurs go back to Lucas BOLS, founder of the “BOLS Royal Distilleries”. In 1575, he began producing spirits and liqueurs in a small distillery in Amsterdam. During the Golden Age, with Amsterdam as the trading capital of the world, Lucas BOLS was therefore one of the first to be able to choose from a myriad of new herbs and spices imported by seafaring traders from the West Indies. Using his knowledge of distilling, he created more than 300 different liqueurs by distilling, infusing and filtering these natural ingredients. By carefully selecting the raw materials, Lucas BOLS was able to create spirits with an amazingly subtle flavour. The secret family recipes are still used today to produce BOLS liqueurs.
Bols Blue Curacao
By far the most popular liqueur from BOLS. It owes its fine, tangy flavour to sun-ripened Curacao oranges. The liqueur gets its striking colour from the addition of natural colouring.
Bols Amaretto
True to its origins, Bols Amaretto is made from a distillate of almond and apricot kernels with a hint of nutty caramel. This nutty liqueur is refined using only purely plant-based ingredients.
Bols Apricot Brandy
Bols Apricot Brandy is a liqueur distilled from pits and fruit, made from apricots and flavoured with old brandy and apricot spirit. Its almond and amaretto flavours are also unique.
Bols Banana
This liqueur is made exclusively from natural banana extracts and the finest rum distillates and is full of the flavour of ripe bananas. Notes of almond and vanilla give it a sweet smoothness.
Bols Cherry Brandy
This semi-dry cherry liqueur is made from the juice of dark red Maraska cherries. In addition to the fruit flesh, some crushed stones are also used, which gives the liqueur a slight almond flavour.
Bols Butterscotch
A wonderfully smooth and rich liqueur that contains layers of caramel and salted toffee with a slightly spicy finish. Bols Butterscotch has a golden brown colour and a silky smooth texture.
Bols Crème de Cacao (brown)
This rich dark chocolate liqueur is made using high-quality roasted cocoa beans and a range of flavoursome, natural ingredients. Perfect for after-dinner drinks & desserts.
Bols Crème de Cacao (white)
A distillate is obtained from the best cocoa beans, which gives Bols Cacao White a fine milk chocolate flavour with vanilla notes and a colourless appearance.
Bols Coconut
Bols Coconut celebrates the tropical combination of rum and coconut. The full-bodied rum is the perfect counterbalance to the sweet, creamy coconut and forms the perfect base for tropical drinks.
Bols Crème de Cassis
This liqueur comes in a dark purple colour and is made from redcurrants grown near Dijon in Burgundy. Probably the best-known drink with BOLS Crème de Cassis is the Kir Royale.
Bols Dry Orange
Bols Dry Orange is a rich and full-bodied citrus liqueur with a hint of rum. Made from the peel of sweet and bitter oranges from the Caribbean island of Curaçao and special bitter additives.
Bols Elderflower
Bols Elderflower is a clear liqueur made from the honey-scented blossoms of the elderflower tree. The flowers are carefully soaked in water and alcohol to obtain the optimum flavour.
Bols Kiwi
Using a special extraction and distillation process, the master distiller has succeeded in capturing the essence of the kiwi fruit in this wonderfully green liqueur. THE complement for summer drinks!
Bols Lychee
A unique extraction process followed by distillation has been developed to extract the rich, fresh lychee flavour from the fruit, resulting in a top-class lychee liqueur.
Bols Mango
This tropical liqueur with its yellow-golden colour captivates with its aroma of ripe mangoes. In many South-East Asian cultures, the mango is regarded as the “food of the gods” and is popular worldwide.
Bols Maraschino
BOLS has been producing this liqueur since 1830, based on whole distilled Maraska cherries, cherry juice and rose petals. The addition of selected herbs ensures the distinctive flavour.
Bols Melon
This liqueur experienced a real boom in the 1970s and has since added a special twist to many well-known cocktail creations. It is based on honeydew melons, which also lend subtle banana flavours.
Bols Natural Yoghurt
Fresh yet creamy, with the beautiful and slightly sweet taste of natural yoghurt. This unique liqueur is made from high-quality fermented milk and remains wonderfully creamy even in drinks.
Bols Parfait Amour
Bols Parfait Amour is a seductive violet-coloured liqueur flavoured with flower petals – especially roses and violets – and vanilla as well as orange peel and almonds. Fascinating & complex.
Bols Peach
Bols Peach is made from fine distillate and the flavour of sun-ripened juicy peaches, oranges and lemons. It is particularly suitable for enriching a variety of cocktails and long drinks.
Bols Peppermint Green
Various peppermint oils from countries such as England, the USA and Morocco are carefully distilled for the second time for Bols peppermint liqueur, resulting in a pure, clear flavour of green mint leaves.
Bols Peppermint White
Bols Peppermint White is made from the best fresh mint leaves and flavoured only with natural botanicals. The same taste as Peppermint Green, but without colouring for clear drinks.
Bols Pink Grapefruit
A genuine pink-coloured grapefruit liqueur in which distilled grapefruits ensure authenticity and naturalness. A special technology preserves the flavour stability for a long time.
Bols Red Orange
Bols Red Orange is a bright red liqueur with strong flavours of blood orange and passion fruit, interspersed with notes of peach and citrus fruits.
Bols Sour Apple
Bols Sour Apple is a fresh and tangy liqueur with the full flavour of both crisp green and ripe apples, creating a delicious balance between sour and sweet.
Bols Strawberry
Bols Strawberry is a harmonious and striking red fruit liqueur made from pure strawberry juice and fresh citrus fruit. A delight as an ingredient in drinks or with vanilla ice cream, crèmes or fruit desserts.
Bols Triple Sec
This fine citrus liqueur is made from the dried peel of selected Curaçao oranges after careful distillation. Special flavourings give it a characteristic tart, fruity taste.

Cocktail ideas
Margarita Azul
- 3 cl Bols Blue Curacao
- 4,5 cl Tequila Blanco
- 2,5 cl fresh lime juice
- 1 cl sugar syrup
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake well. Pour into a margarita glass and garnish with a slice of lime.
Woo Woo
- 2,5 cl Bols Peach
- 3,5 cl vodka
- top up with cranberry juice
Pour Bols Peach & vodka into a highball glass filled with ice cubes and top up with cranberry juice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Cosmopolitan
- 3 cl Bols Triple Sec
- 3 cl vodka
- 3 cl cranberry juice
- 1 cl lime juice
Shake all the ingredients and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with orange zest.
Melon Sour
- 6 cl Bols Melone
- 3 cl fresh lime juice
- 1 cl sugar syrup
- 1,5 cl egg white
Shake all the ingredients over ice and pour into a glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a slice of honeydew melon.
Swizzle
- 3 cl Bols Kiwi
- 3 cl Bols Genever
- 4 wedge of lime
- 2 bar spoons of cane sugar
- 1/2 maracuja
Muddle half the passion fruit, lime wedges and cane sugar with a muddler. Add crushed ice and the remaining ingredients and stir. Top up the glass with crushed ice and garnish with the other passion fruit half.
Grasshopper
- 1,5 cl Bols Peppermint Green
- 2,5 cl Bols Cacao White
- 4,5 cl Bols Natural Yoghurt
Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.
Strawberry Cheesecake
- 1,5 l Bols Strawberry
- 5 cl Bols Natural Yoghurt
- 1,5 cl fresh lemon juice
Pour all the ingredients into a glass filled with crushed ice and mix thoroughly. Garnish with a strawberry.
Amaretto Sour
- 6 cl Bols Amaretto
- 3 cl fresh lemon juice
- 1,5 cl sugar syrup
- 1,5 cl egg white
- dash Angostura bitter
Place all the ingredients in a shaker and shake well. Then add ice cubes and shake again. Pour into a rocks glass with ice cubes and garnish with lemon zest.
Red Orange Negroni
- 3 cl Bols Red Orange
- 1,5 cl Bols Genever
- 3 cl Galliano L’Aperitivo
Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.
Watermelon Spritz
- 6 cl Bols Watermelon
- 9 cl Prosecco
- 3 cl soda
Pour all the ingredients into a glass filled with ice cubes and stir gently.
Hemingway Daiquiri
- 2,5cl Bols Pink Grapefruit
- 3 cl white rum
- 1 cl Bols Maraschino
- 2 cl lime juice
- 5 cl sugar syrup
Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.
Stinger
- 1,5 cl Bols Peppermint White
- 4,5 cl cognac
Shake the ingredients over ice and strain into a cognac snifter filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a mint leaf.
Appletini
- 3 cl Bols Sour Apple
- 3 cl vodka
- 2,5 cl Bols Melon
- 1,5 cl apple juice
Shake all the ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with apple slices.
Elderflower Spritz
- 6 cl Bols Elderflower
- 9 cl Prosecco
- 3 cl soda
Pour all the ingredients into a glass filled with ice cubes and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lime.
English Rose
- 1,5 cl Bols Parfait Amour
- 5 cl gin
- 2 cl dry vermouth
- 1 cl lemon juice
- 0,5 cl Bols Grenadine syrup
Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.
