Bushmills
Bushmills Distillery is a special place on the north coast of Ireland where some of the most important Irish whiskeys are produced. It is unique in many ways. It was granted a licence to distil whiskey over 400 years ago. This makes Bushmills Distillery the oldest active distillery in Ireland.
While some Irish distilleries have increasingly used conventional unmalted barley over the years to avoid the malt tax, Bushmills Distillery has remained true to its craft: to this day, only unpeated barley malt is used for its triple-distilled whiskeys. The distillates are matured in quality oak casks from selected suppliers in Spain, Portugal, Kentucky and Madeira.
