San Cosme
San Cosme Mezcal is a spirit made from the Espadin agave plant, grown in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Tequila’s big brother, mezcal is still considered an insider’s tip among connoisseurs – but its popularity is growing almost daily. The production process is an art: during the harvest, the leaves of the agave plant are separated from the inside of the plant. The agave hearts are then cooked in the traditional way underground, in pits that act as ovens. This is where the aromas of the earth and the smoke are absorbed, giving the mezcal its characteristic flavour.
The brand name is derived from the patron saint of doctors. Due to its many unusual flavours, Mezcal San Cosme is a spirit for the experienced palate. Can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails.
